Kallaroo Women's Retreat 2026

Friday–Sunday, 4th–6th September 2026

Thanks for finding out more about women’s retreat. Here is what we think you need to know. If you have more questions, please see Clare.

When is Retreat?

Retreat runs Friday to Sunday, 4th-6th of September.

On Friday, you can arrive any time after 5pm. Our first session will begin at 7:30pm.

On Sunday we will finish by 11am, which should get you home for lunch. Our Sunday morning session will continue our theme but will be more like a Sunday church service.

Where is Retreat? What is the accommodation like?

Retreat is being held at Orchard Glory in Bindoon, about a 45 minute drive from Kallaroo. If transport if a problem for you, let us know and we will find someone to help you get there. (Click for Google Map)

Orchard Glory has two and three bedroom cabins, with two single beds in each bedroom. Each cabin also has its own bathroom, kitchen, dining table and lounge area. We have chosen it because it is quite a comfortable retreat centre. You can find more information here: https://www.orchardglory.com.au/

Depending on the number of women coming, we hope to be able to offer single rooms for those who would prefer this option. However, spaces for this may be limited. For share rooms, once we have finalised accommodation, we will ask you with whom you would like to share (if you’re not sure, we can pair you with someone).

How much does it cost? How do I pay?

The costs are:

  • Shared room: $155
  • Single room (if available): $265
  • Saturday Day Visitor: $80

Below is the registration form. If you fill in that form, you have registered. We will send you information regarding how to pay once we know how many people have registered and how many single rooms we have.

Please do not let the cost stop you attending the retreat. There is some support available for those who need it.

Who is Retreat for?

The retreat is for women from all three congregations who are of the age to have finished high school (however long ago that may have been!).

We will not be operating a creche, but if you have a bub who needs to be with you and who is not yet mobile, you are welcome to bring them. If you’re not sure, contact Clare. Please register below for yourself and mention the bub in the “Anything we should know” box. We’ll work out exact arrangements with you.

The retreat is not for women from other churches. If there is a visitor you’d like to bring for a particular reason, see Clare.

What’s the Programme?

The theme for the weekend will be “Christ the Centre.” Clare will be our speaker.

The programme has not yet been finalised. Here's what we do know:

  • There will be a session on Friday night (but probably not the "first talk”)
  • Across the weekend there will probably be three sessions with talks.
  • Across the weekend we’re hoping to hear from a number of women on different aspects of their Christian lives.
  • There will be a good amount of free time on Saturday afternoon.
  • The Sunday morning session will feel similar to our normal church services.
  • It will be neither packed nor empty. Our hope is for a beneficial and not stressful or hurried time away together.

What about Food?

Friday night dessert, Saturday morning tea, lunch and dinner will be provided.

You will have breakfast in cabins. This gives a good relaxed start to the day. We will tell you in advance who’s in your cabin so that you can make a plan. You’ll bring your own breakfast food.

Friday night dinner will not be provided since people’s arrival times will be so scattered. Please eat before you arrive or bring food with you. There are kitchens in the cabins so you can make dinner or heat something up onsite if that’s your preference.

You can indicate any dietary requirements on the registration form.
